Women’s Soccer FA Cup? is a national initiative created to promote women’s participation in football, identify young talent, and empower women through sport.
It combines competition, education, and leadership development to create lasting impact for female athletes in South Africa.

All registered and affiliated women’s football clubs in South Africa may enter.
This includes community clubs, schools, universities, academies, and provincial teams that are recognized by SAFA or registered through the MySports App.

No strict age limit applies for the senior division; however, players must be 16 years or older to compete in open-age matches.
Future editions will include junior categories (U13, U15, U17, U19) to promote youth development.

Registration is done online via the official tournament website or through the MySports App.
Teams will need to upload official club information, player lists, proof of affiliation, and payment confirmation.

  • Affiliation Fee: R2,000.00 per club

  • Player Card Registration: R20.00 per player (via MySports App)
    This covers administrative costs, insurance, tournament materials, and access to development programs.

The competition will run as a knockout format, starting with regional qualifiers, followed by provincial finals.
Provincial champions will compete in the National Final on 9 August 2026, in celebration of Women’s Day.

Each match will consist of two halves of 40 minutes each (total 80 minutes) with a 10-minute halftime break.

  • 1st Leg (Regional Qualifiers): March 2026

  • 2nd Leg (Provincial Finals): June 2026

  • National Finals (Champion of Champions): 9 August 2026

  • Talent recognition awards for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, and Best Coach

  • National exposure and potential scouting opportunities

Yes. All registered players, referees, and officials are automatically included in the Tournament Insurance Program, which covers:

  • Player injuries and medical emergencies

  • Public liability up to R20 million

  • On-site ambulance and emergency medical staff during all official matches
